Matthew was born and raised in Marin County, CA and is now a screenwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. He stays awake at night hoping to give queer characters the attention they deserve (and because he’s sensitive to caffeine).
In 2019, he was selected as a Storytelling Fellow by VICE at The NYU Production Lab and a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference
Matthew’s screenplay WHITE COFFINS was the recipient of the 2019 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Screenwriting Grant.
Matthew was the Executive Director of the 2018-2019 Ivy Film Festival, an entirely student-run international film festival in Providence, RI
